The new Rubik's Cube Mosaic Builder Guides and templates allow youth to combine fun with math, science, history and art! Now teachers and youth directors can teach algorithms, geometry, problem solving, spatial relations and more, while also teaching color theory, pixels, significant historical figures, patterns and national treasures!
We've teamed up with artist Pete Fecteau and created 2 step by step Mosaic Builder Guides which show you how to create mosaics using Rubik's Cubes. This is an enrichment activity for those who can solve the cube.
Four of the templates require only 36 cubes and can be created using 3 Rubik’s Cube Education kits. To create the other mosaics we lend out Mosaic Builder Sets.
To make a Rubik's Cube mosaic, you don't need to know how to solve the cube. The following lessons will provide all directions needed.
Mosaic Lesson 1: Making A Multi Colored Cross
Mosaic Lesson 2: Adding Multi Colored Corners
Mosaic Lesson 3: Pixel Resolution
